LAREDO, Tex. (Hola Laredo) -
This summer, Laredo College transforms into a cultural hub with Flamenco Fest, a celebration of music, dance, and expression rooted in Spanish tradition. The heart of the festival is the tablao — an intimate venue where flamenco is performed with deep emotion and improvisation, blending the energy of baile (dance), cante (song), and toque (guitar).
Originating in the 1950s, tablaos have long been the soul of flamenco culture in Spain, offering close, electric spaces where artists connect and collaborate. Every major city in Spain has one — and now, Laredo gets a taste of that legacy.

Flamenco Fest offers a rare opportunity to learn directly from world-renowned artists in flamenco dance, guitar, and singing. It’s more than just a performance — it’s a hands-on, immersive experience into the roots of an art form that has captivated audiences for generations.
Whether you’re a student, an artist, or simply a lover of culture, this is a moment to witness and be part of flamenco’s living history.
